Macy has been caught stealing opposition cheers and trying to incorporate them into her squad's new routines. Her Coach finds out before too much damage is done, but they are staying at a local hotel as part of a competition and she is benched. Her mom (played by Christina Carter) has been told to come to pick her up and take her home. This is where we pick up with the film as Mom confronts a disrespectful and confrontational Macy who is upset that she has to be escorted home in shame.
